Lacework

This site specific work takes its inspiration from Borris Lace. Borris Lace was founded as a non- profit famine industry in 1846 by Lady Harriet Kavanagh.

​The lacework images presented in this exhibition were created using the historic photographic technique of cyanotype printing.
​
The work was exhibited in the Old Laundry at Borris House, Co. Carlow during the Festival of Writing and Ideas 2016.

Lacework went on to be exhibited at Visual Centre for Contemporary Art, Carlow and Argentea Gallery, Birmingham, UK in 2017.​
